Michelle Miner

 

Originally from San Diego, Ca, Michelle grew up training extensively in Tap, Jazz and Ballet.  She has been a national award winning tap choreographer for over 17 years.  Michelle has trained with such tap masters as Brenda Buffalino, Mike Minery, Sam Weber, and the late Gregory Hines and her choreography is sought after all over the country.  Her national award winning dances can be seen on ESPN and in magazines such as”Dance Spirit”, and “Dance Teacher”.  She directed and choreographed the sold out show “Beat It Down” which starred dancers from Tap Dogs, Magic of the Dance, and 42nd St.  Many of Michelle’s students have gone on to pursue careers on Broadway and in films such as “Fame”.  Her choreography can be found in music videos and most recently in the new Shirley Temple movie on Fox.  Michelle also trained the 2006 World Tap Dance Champion who went on to become the youngest intern for the Rockettes in history.  She has also been awarded numerous “Choreographer of the Year” awards from 2001 to present.   Michelle is the tap director for the new “Mather Dance Company” in L.A and is happy to be a part of the San Diego Dance Centre staff!
